Bob – Here’s the Deal….

I feel I owe you all an explanation for the dearth of columns over the past 10 days or so. It is a difficult time of year for me (I won’t bore you with the reasons for that) but suffice it to say that I suffer Holiday Depression, or as I like to call it, the End of the Year Blahs and Nog Hoist.

As long time Readers are aware, DBAWIS goes on Hiatus twice a year. Once, during the Dog Days of Summer, (who has time to read when you’re busy melting on the beach, chasing your kids around the Dairy Queen, or standing in line to get in a vomit-inducing Teacup during the much-promised, finally-delivered, Family Excursion to Disneylandworld…and again at the End of the Year, because who has time to read when you’re busy having trouble wrapping gifts because you ate half the rumballs (and drank most of the rum), can’t remember where you put the scissors, wrapping paper, and scotch tape, forgetting to put breathing holes in the box the late Christmas Puppy was in under the tree, brawling with a grandma, two large Eastern European housewives and a gay couple over the last Minions-themed chaffing dish at Giant Tiger, or trying to get in a round of golf at Mar-a-Lard Ass while men in suits try to serve subpoenas to you and the rest of your foursome every time you try to tee off.

Those problems, and others which will remain nameless, have forced me to make some changes….

I now have a week’s worth of columns I failed to post, which will be posted starting Friday, and continue until they are all posted, however long that takes

That means there may be more than one column per day, or a column every few days, so check back frequently. The good news is for the wonderful writers here, who get an additional week off, while I toil the extra week as penance for NOT posting these columns when I SHOULD have.

As a BONUS, before we return from our Annual Holiday Hiatus, the remaining chapters of Mr. Vickers’ “Bu House” novelette will be published…because when we come back in January, we begin publishing VOLUME TWO of ‘Bu House with a chapter each week!

So…NEW HIATUS SCHEDULE.

DECEMBER 30th 2018 – JANUARY 15TH 2019

Some columns WILL appear during the Hiatus so, as previously stated, check back frequently, and remember…there are over 2000 posts at DBAWIS…there may be a few you have missed that you can read in the meantime.

He also hosted “Late Great Movies” on CITY TV, was a producer of Much Music, and an on-air personality on CHUM FM, Q107, SIRIUS Sat/Rad’s Iceberg 95, (now 85), and now publishes, edits, and writes for DBAWIS, continues to write music, make music, and record.
