Peter – Drive-In ROCK and Bowling Ball ROLL

It is good to see that live music shows are slowly starting up again. I have to admire the resiliency of members of “the scene”, as they used “live streaming” to stay current and relevant. Musicians, don’t forget that you have to stay in the public’s eye in order to not only survive, but grow your fan base. It’s also interesting to see the reemergence of “drive ins “. ( I guess that not all the drive ins were turned into condos!)

This “drive in show” philosophy has spread across the spectrum of public entertainment, as an aside. For example, London Ontario has an annual airshow. This year, despite COVID, the show went on, but pedestrians were not allowed on the field. Much like a drive in, cars were allowed to park on the field as the aircraft displayed. It was, by all accounts, a great success.

The show took place on September 12th. We had moved to London on September 11th. Alas, our apartment was on the wrong side of the building to allow me to see any of the show. Maybe next year!!

And it is also nice to see live shows starting up again. It seems like it has been forever since we have had the chance to meet and greet and mingle.

For example, one of many amazing bands which I have encountered in my travels is “The Jailbirds“. Myke and the crew have been busy writing and rehearsing, and they will be playing on October 29th at Palasad Socialbowl, at 9:00 P.M..

A venue, by the way, which just happens to be in London, Ontario. Damned right I will be there!

I urge everyone to keep their eyes open on the usual platforms, as musicians are continuing to post videos and “concerts “. There is a lot of great music out there, go out and see it and support these creative people.

Well, that’s it for this week. I just want to mention that tomorrow will mark 6 months since I first “met ” Betty.a) I want to publicly thank you for all the good you have brought to me. I love you.

See you soon
