Segarini – Bob Still Plagued by Writer’s Block

Posted in A Message, Opinion, Work with tags , , on September 10, 2021 by segarini

You would think by now, the writer’s block would have dissipated and I would be regaling you with new stories, humourous anecdotes, wry observations, and titillating innuendo and double-entendre’s.

Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Pat Blythe – The Women of Rock Redux Part 5 – Nancy & Ann……and music

Posted in A Message, life, music, Opinion, Review on June 2, 2021 by segarini

Sooooo many women to include in this series. Six years later and research has me discovering so much more. Although these columns were supposed to be “quick and dirty” updates because of work, that doesn’t appear to be happening. Additions are easy, subtractions…..not so much. There’s so much and so many I want to include and my illustrious editor has found even more. We all have our own favourites and it’s impossible to embrace every single female artist, even just keeping to a single genre. So many forgotten or cast aside as inconsequential, but it’s those women who forged the path many others followed during the past 50 years those are the women I’m focused on.

Still not able to write worth a fuck, so this is all I’ve got.

This brief column is for our dear, beloved American friends trapped behind enemy lines. The rest of the world is pulling for you (Except those who are playing Monkey See, Monkey Do and acting out because The Orange-16 virus appeals to their Inner Asshole).

Peter Previews Upcoming Peter Posts

We here at “Don’t Believe A Word I Say ” are taking a few weeks off (August 10th thru September 10th). This column will therefore be very much abbreviated.

In the future, I will continue to write about important issues such as gay rights, the right of everyone to have a decent living, access to education, universal health care and the right to have a dignified retirement after slaving their lives away selling their soul “to the man”.

As sure as Springsteen has had some work done, Fridays are a mainstay when it comes to your week, and is known in certain parts of Canada and Rhode Island as the Gateway to The Weekend, or “The Day Before Saturday”.

In that respect it is the single most important day of the week, and is as well-loved as Monday’s are vehemently loathed.

“Loathe Not, Thy Friday, For It Is The Day Of Relief. The Day of Rejoicing. The Day You Have Worked Towards All Week. A Day of Respite and Rest. A Day of Joints Shots Netflix and Chill for Tomorrow You Either Have to Mow the Lawn or Shovel Snow You Poor Bastard” – Saint Daryl … Patron Saint of Stealing 3rd and Inspirational Gibberish Continue reading

I feel I owe you all an explanation for the dearth of columns over the past 10 days or so. It is a difficult time of year for me (I won’t bore you with the reasons for that) but suffice it to say that I suffer Holiday Depression, or as I like to call it, the End of the Year Blahs and Nog Hoist.

An Important (If You Love The Wackers) Message from Bob

Posted in A Message with tags , , , on November 16, 2018 by segarini

You’re going to have to wait until Monday for Part Two if The Story of The Wackers.
Because I have found a folder full of live recordings from the ’70s, and another folder FULL of video footage from the Wacker Reunion in 2011.
There is a lot of work to do on them, so there goes my weekend.
Gigabytes of raw footage like this small sample.
