Mr. Bob is up to his well-defined elbows in Texas No Bean Chili of his own design, rustic Mexican Rice, and a beautiful and healthy (if you insist on looking at it that way) Iceberg lettuce salad drizzled and besotted with an Olive Oil and Vinegar vinaigrette dressing, thin-sliced red onion, and crumbled Roquefort cheese. So demanding are his primitive culinary skills and excitement awaiting his guests for this evening’s repast, discourse, and motion picture study of the 3D variety, that he asked me, his faithful companion of long standing, Fernando Periscope, to address and amuse you on this, his Blog of Note. Personally it’s been, indubitably, a year of massive, incredible change….a complete turnaround….a 360….that’s two 180’s, and I’m still spinning. It’s been jam packed full of opportunities, challenges, reconnections, new connections, bags of music, loads of dancing, early mornings, late nights, no sleep, G&T’s, club hopping, previews and reviews, outdoor patios, fast food, fine dining, ear-splitting bands, (did I mention dancing), photo shoots, video shoots and writing. Okay, deep breath, plunging in, here we go….the year in review. Really!! ….and WELCOME BACK!

Cameron Carpenter: The ABC’s Of Rock’n’Roll – Just For You

Well the stars did align last Saturday night for the family Segarini. As you may have read in Bob’s column it was going to be Daddy/Daughter night at the Slaughter show at the Phoenix in Toronto. Bob’s daughter Amy became enamoured with the band in her pre-teen days and I had the chance to introduce her to them at the Hard Rock Café way back in the day. She had purchased a star for the band and never had the opportunity to give them the certificate and coordinates. Last week was the first time the band would be playing in Toronto for the last dozen or so years, and Amy, in anticipation, purchased another star for them and hoped she would get the chance to present it.
