There is a lot going on right now and I really can’t wrap my mind around columns about X, Y and Z. These are some tough letters to cover and I have already been over them a couple of times in the past therefore they are about to be passed over. No offence.
After five days of independent music and film showcases, along with three days of industry seminars, Indie Week wrapped last night. The event just keeps getting better every year. The bands and fans have a wonderful time, careening from venue to venue, sampling new and new to them music, while rubbing shoulders with like-minded people eager to see and be seen.
Fall means many things. Thanksgiving is behind us, Halloween is around the corner, it’s almost time to turn the clocks back and it’s time to begin the annual debate as to who should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (which shouldn’t be called The Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame, but that is the least of things that is wrong with the hall and many of its members). Last year I scored a pretty miserable 62.5% with my predictions but I fared much better the year before with a solid 80%. Time to roll the bones again (as Hall members Rush would say).
