This year it falls to me to be the last voice of DBAWIS 2014. Still decked out in my new holiday outfit, and digesting our early family Christmas dinner,

(c’mon, who isn’t? It’s from “Dark Side of The Moon” for crying out loud). The album, released on March 1, 1973, made # 1 for only one week, but in total, spent 741 weeks on Billboard magazine’s album chart. Let’s put that into years shall we? “Dark Side of the Moon” remained on the charts from 1973 until 1988. If you know the song, then you’ll know that the next lyrics to the title at the top of the page are: “Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash. New car, caviar, four star daydream, think I’ll buy me a football team.”
Doug Thompson: WHAT, IS IT NEW YEARS ALREADY?

Another year over, a new one just begun.” I do so wish that Lennon was still here to continue with his amazing talent. But some self-centered asshole with a hand gun and a diseased brain (or a mind-controlled one, for all of you conspiracy buffs) silenced that legendary voice forever 33 years ago.
Roxanne Tellier: Summer’s Almost Gone

Can’t say I’ll miss her; she had quite an attitude. In fact, if this summer was a woman, I’d call her Kim Kardashian; entitled, bestowing her gifts grudgingly, smiling only for the camera, and crying at inopportune moments. (kimcrying)
Canadians yearn for hot, sunny days though the cold snows of winter – it’s what keeps us from succumbing to cabin fever and despair. I’m already dreading the weight of winter coats and boots, and praying I don’t add to the total of just how many times one person can break an ankle.
