Last week I entered a wormhole I haven’t quite surfaced from. It all started with a offhand remark and has now ended up to a be two-part essay on all things synthesizer(ish). You’ve all read the history of this beast (test on Friday) so I shall now segue into the “guitar synthesizer”, the “SynthAxe” and a new find…..the “Keytar”.

Note: OMG!!!! This is a very, very long and winding wormhole. What started out as simple piece on the synth guitar has blown up and created a universe all its own. If there was even a choice among door number one, two or three, I think I’ve now walked through door 100 and counting.

Peter, The Stick, and a Can of Paint

Many of my friends and classmates played organized hockey growing up. While I was happy for them, I somehow just knew that I wouldn’t be able to do so myself, as it would be unfair of me to expect Mum and Dad to buy me hockey equipment every couple of years as I grew. I accepted it as one of the “hazards” of being a member of a large family. Anyway, I got everything that I really needed at home, I was fed, sheltered, clothed, supported and most importantly, loved!
