Yeah, yeah, it’s been a week since the Saturday Night Live (SNL) special, and Bob’s given his views on the pros and cons. But I’m still thinking about what the show meant to me, in its heyday, and occasionally, since.

Not since someone glued a lightning
bolt to Radcliffe’s forehead or sparkles to Pattinson’s nipples has there been such a nauseating ballyhoo from teenaged girls and creepy middle-aged women. Every aspect of the movie has been gleaned, dissected and analyzed by the fodder feeding media including the outrage by fans of the books that inspired the franchise who were shocked to find out that the black characters were portrayed on screen by…black actors!

I now love a lot of his music but it took me a while to get on board the Lionel train (he collects them). I’m pretty sure this was due to my sister. Kelly is two years older than me which now makes us close, but, during our teenage years that gap seemed enormous. Our musical tastes could not have been more different. We moved a lot as kids but always seemed to have bedrooms right next door to each other. We had stereo wars and music wars. We both continually upgraded our stereos as our record collections grew.
