This week, in Ontario, the government decided to put the brakes on their re-integration plan to have us return to normal because the pandemic has decided to return for a victory lap. They shut down public spaces and gathering places like bars and restaurants because despite being told not to act like selfish jackasses scoring hookers and turning their livers in alcohol-filled swimming pools on the last night before their wedding day, idiots be idioting. Couple that with people marching in parades demanding that they have the right to be jackasses and endangering the health of everyone else and it seems our dear leaders had no choice.

Bob Stories Opinions and Advice 10 Years On
Posted in Opinion with tags Bob Segarini, Canadian Music, Cherry Cola's, DBAWIS, Don't Believe a Word I Say, Indie Artists, Indie Music, Movies, music, music videos, radio, Records, San Francisco, Stockton California, Television, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Toronto on March 29, 2019 by segariniDon’t Believe a Word I Say has existed as first a column at FYIMusic.com, then in its own self-titled blog for going on 11 years now.
Before this, I dabbled in music, radio, and television for 50 years or so, and feel I have experienced enough to have a fairly informed opinion of my related careers, and the love/hate relationship that comes with a passion and lust for life and its challenging hurdles.
The following has been culled from the first 6 months of this entities existence, which has been updated but not changed in any way, so when I said something stupid then, it remains stupid now. New pictures have been added, and some comments, which will be in italics.

Bob Quickly Ties Up Loose Ends….and Finally Finishes that Beatle/Rolling Stone Thing-y
Posted in Opinion, Review with tags Bob Segarini, DBAWIS, Don't Believe a Word I Say, radio, Records, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Toronto on May 18, 2018 by segariniLet’s see…where were we? Gimme a sec…hold on…oh yeah!
Let’s clear up the silly stuff going on right now before we wrap up the whole “Beatles/Stones” thing.
Yanny vs Laurel – Didn’t click on it, don’t know what it means, don’t give a fuck.
Politics – Trump and Ford. I don’t bother anymore. They both say/do stupid shit, then everybody argues. Shut up about the Conservatives/Republicans and vote the bastards out of office so I can see something besides the constant, boring, whiney, bullshit all over social media, and return to the joy of Kitties and Puppies Riding Roombas, Cheesecake pictures from the past, and videos of women who drive away from gas stations (or electrical stations) with the hose still dragging behind their car, and pictures of your kids/grandkids being used for everything from doorstops to pillows when their Dad’s and Grand Dad’s babysit. With the ability to scroll past the constant stream of Political debate, I now use the time to get in some quality Angry Birds action….

There are days when it feels like we were playing a spirited game of Rummoli only yesterday, and other days when I can’t remember what it was like to have my own little family. After my mum and grandmother died just days apart in that horrible year, the tenuous link we had with Montreal was broken. While I’ve been ‘home’ a few times since then, Quebec hasn’t really drawn me back for decades.
GARY PIG GOLD GETS UNDER KEITH RICHARDS
Posted in Opinion, Review with tags Chuck Berry, Cross-Eyed Heart, DBAWIS, Documentary, Don't Believe a Word I Say, Gary Pig Gold, Keith Richards, music, music videos, Netflix, radio, Records, Rock and Roll, segarini, The Rolling Stones, Under the Influence on October 5, 2015 by segarini I love Keith. You love Keith. We ALL love Keith Richards. In fact, very personally speaking, if it wasn’t for my first encountering the hallowed words “Chuck” and “Berry” on some extremely early Rolling Stones record, and then seeking out “No Particular Place To Go” in particular, I probably never would have ventured past the second fret up my own childhood guitar.
